GPR2C Team
The GPR2C (Global Platform for the Right to the City) members are participanting of the second Habitat III Experts Meeting Policy Unit 1: Right to the City for all, from 27th to 28th January in Bogota, Colombia.
The event is focused on the draft of the New Urban Agenda the 20-year strategy that will come out of the conference, that will be held on October in Quito, Ecuador. This key thematic expert group is one of 10 another policy unitys teams. Each staff is composed of 20 experts and led by two international organizations, which were elected.
GPR2C is represented by these members: Allison Brown, professor of Urban Planning and International Development- Cardiff University; Ana Falu, professor, from National University of Cordoba; Eva Garcia Chueca Researcher, from Centre for Social Studies (CES) — University of Coimbra; Nelson Saule Jr. Coordinator of the Right to the City Area and from Polis Institute; Sally Roever Director, Urban Policies Programme, from Women in Informal Employment: Globalizing and Organizing (WIEGO); Marcelo Montenegro, ActionAid Brazil; Anaclaudia Rossbach, Cities Alliance; and Augusto Barrera – FLACSO.
The second experts meetting is debating thse fundamental concepts related to Policy Unit 1: inclusive cities; inclusion and exclusion; urban segregation and the right to the city. According to the experts meeting document, the debate also describes the current situation and focuses on the construction of inclusive cities.
