Along with Habitat International Coalition, the GPR2C is co-organizing a conversation with United Nations Special Rapporteurs (SRs) focused on how to improve synergies between their work and that of civil society and grassroots organizations.
A series of SRs will be present engaging in a transversal discussion of how habitat rights and the right to the city are related to their specific mandates, from right to food to the fight against racial discrimination.
This session aims to continue and enhance the work that HIC, GPR2C and its members have been historically developed alongside Special Rapporteurs, most notably with the mandate on adequate housing, identifying other paths for collaboration and encouraging transversal work engaging multiple mandates.
The event will take place in the first half of November and more information will be communicated soon.
