Right To The City around International Women's Day 2021

The Global Platform for the Right to the City joined this 2021 International Women’s Day action launching a collective campaign todemand all spheres of government and the international community to commit to contribute to gender equality in the territories and the Right to the City for all.

This year’s campaign involved:

  • The launch of an International Mapping of Organisations working for the #RightToTheCity and Gender Equality.
  • Publication of an article to reflect on “How to think about Women’s Right to the City?”, by the Coordinator of the GPR2C’s Women, Gender and Diversities Working Group, Ana Falú.
  • We re-visited our Women’s Right to the City Manifesto.
Online course "Decoding the Right to the City"

We are very pleased to invite you to our new online course!

The GPR2C is organizing this free & open online course which aims to explore and present different perspectives and initiatives for the realization of the Right to the City worldwide. This course connects with issues such as: women and gender; inclusive and solidarity economies and food sovereignty; social production of habitat and informal settlements; rural-urban linkages and environmental dimensions; and democratic governance.
